Actually, I should do what ever I want to do regardless of what other think. Indeed there is the encouragement, but I should do art that I am interested in. The audience should come to me as they are interested in my work; not out of appealing.So I can also focus on things like Print and Digital art.

Sounds about right! Do what you want to, and I believe the audience will appreciate it the most as well. Artists who are true to themselves often create the best art IMO.
Maybe not right away, but practice breeds perfection, and if it's with something you're passionate about you'll persevere. All in good time.
